Training
Training: from
yearling lunge line, to starting two-year-olds, to finishing the all-around
horse. Genny takes time with each student to select the
right horse for the rider, based on their skill level, showing plans, riding
goals, and the horse’s ability. Training and lessons for each horse and rider
are personalized to support each advance in their skills. At the end of each
year, Genny holds individual conferences with each student in order to outline
goals and ways of achieving them. During this meeting they decide which shows
would be most beneficial for the horse and rider in the upcoming year.
Private Lessons: for
riders wanting individual or specialized lessons
School Horse Lessons: Many retired show horses find new
careers as lesson horses, keeping them active in the job they know and love,
while providing beginning students the opportunity to learn on quality,
accomplished horses.
Half Leases: For those riders who have a desire to ride
and/or show but can’t yet afford a horse of their own, this is a way for them to
move toward their goals. Many of our lesson horses have a lot of “show” left in
them, and make excellent lease horses. A student may half lease a horse to have
the opportunity to take lessons on and show that horse.
Boarding:
